Thank you for joining Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park for "Stories Surround Us: A Community Archaeological Experience." Your enthusiasm and careful work made this dig an extraordinary success.

Over 70 participants uncovered 200 artifacts that will help tell the important story of America's first free Black town in the American South. These artifacts will now become part of Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park's permanent record, and you played a vital role in preserving this history for future generations.
